Kala Deepika Dance Academy was founded by Guru Agraharam Parvathi Ramachandran in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh in 1979. Being a diploma holder in Kuchipudi and an exponent in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam, she trained thousands of students. She won several awards and titles like Natya Ratna, Natya Mayuri, and Natya Sudhaarani.

Continuing her Guru’s legacy, Mahati Ramya Adivishnu has been teaching Kuchipudi for the past 10 years with the goal to promote the tradition and preserve the culture of India.

Mahati Ramya Adivishnu is a trained classical dancer in Kuchipudi and Bharata Natyam styles under the tutelage of  A. Parvathi Ramachandran Garu and Vedantham Radheshyam Garu in Andhra Pradesh in India. 

She has performed at approximately 500-plus shows nationwide in India, including in temples like Srisailam, Vijayawada Durga temple, and won several prizes in Dance Competitions and University Youth festivals. 

She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Kuchipudi at Aria University, California. She started her dance school, Kala Deepika Academy, 8 years ago, and is teaching Kuchipudi in Leander, Texas.

Mahati is also a blogger and a software professional, and loves reading books and traveling.
